Allowing a log to rot on the ground may sound like a bad idea.  But, when you let it stay there long enough, the fungal growth on the log can actually add to the character of the wood. The logs from Adair Park Woodstock came in stages.  The older ones were allowed to ‘age’ to increase their overall character.  In this video, you can see the results.  We can’t wait to turn these boards into furniture!
