How To Care For Your Charcuterie Boards
Caring for your Board is really simple. First, do NOT put it in the dishwasher. Just use regular soap and water to clean it and let it dry. Over time, washing it will remove the wax and oil from the board. The reason is that it is a food safe finish designed to be replaced easily. If the board begins to fade, simply apply some cutting boar oil, or in a pinch, some good old fashioned mineral oil. Then to help that oil last longer, add a little wood wax to the surface and you are ready for your next party! If the board looses its super smooth finish, just sand it with 320 grit sand paper before you apply your next coat of oil. It's that simple!

Walrus Oil
This bottle is only around $10 on Amazon and does a great job. It is our go to oil.

Regular Mineral Oil
If you are on a budget or need to shine up your board in a hurry, pick up mineral oil at your local grocery store. Give it a couple hours to soak in before you put food on it.

Wood Wax
Wood wax is not necessary to keep your board looking good. It just helps the oil last longer by providing a water barrier to the board.
